Mobile Phones - Choose by style
Which Mobile Phone Best Suits You?
Standard Mobile Phones
The standard phone is what most of us have experienced at some time. They are great for all round purposes, come in a huge range of styles, colours and are typically the least expensive mobile phones available.
Con’s
- exposed screen can get easily scratched and damaged compared to a flip phone.
- Prone to accidentally dialling and phone needs to be locked when not is use to prevent this.
Flip Mobile Phones
Flip mobile phones also come in a wide selection like standard mobiles and the only real difference between the two is they come in you must open the phone to talk as they fold in half. This protects the screen and prevents accidental calling when the phone is not in use. If you’re careless with phones then this might be a great option for you…
Con’s
- must open the phone to receive and make phone calls
Slide phones
These are really a hybrid between the Flip and the standard and are increasingly popular. The phone slides open to reveal the touch screen however new slide phones like the Samsung ABC also allow functions to be accessed when the phone is not open giving you the best of both worlds.
Con’s
- more limited range
- screen is still exposed and can be damaged
PDA’s
This is the fastest growing segment in mobile phones as PDA’s allow you to receive and send emails, browse the internet, use other applications all while still being able to make and receive calls. If you’re always out and about and need to be in constant contact by phone and email then PDA’s are an excellent solution.
Con’s
- limited range
- expensive
- bigger and heavier than a normal phone
