Everything you need from one solution
The LG Ericsson iPECS-LIK phone system is a pure IP communication solution for small to medium businesses. In fact the iPECS pabx will scale from 2 -1200 users across multiple sites so it can grow as big as you do. This feature rich solution offers customers uncompromising, proven, technology that has helped the LG Ericsson iPECS phone system to become the largest selling pabx in Australia under 100 handsets (the fact that Telstra has aggressively pushed the solution has also been part of this success). So let’s see what the all the fuss is about.....
Only start with the size you need
The LG Ericsson iPECS phone systems actually come in different starting sizes to best suit your current requirements - LG Ericsson iPECS 50 phone system, iPECS 100, iPECS 300, iPECS 600, iPECS 1200. Beyond that you move to the enterprise models which scale to tens of thousands of users.
The numbers next to the models basically tell you the maximum number of extensions or users the iPECS model will support. For example the iPECS 50 phone system will support 50 extensions or users.
IMPORTANT NOTE - if you are a small business with 4-24 staff and don’t need to expand beyond that then you would be better suited to the tailor made, more affordable, iPECS SBG-1000 system. The only function it doesn’t offer is the call centre application and the iPECS attendant PC console – not relevant for 99% of small business anyway.
iPECS = Massive range of features & benefits
Like all the leading brands, the iPECS does everything you’d expect and much more.
- Key features of the iPECS LIK IP pbx include:
- Multimedia Applications
- Unified Messaging
- Unified Communications
- Call Centre Applications
- Soft Phone
- PC Attendant
The iPECS-LIK phone system also supports a wide range of productivity enhancing applications such as Unified Communications, IP Call Recording, Phontage, Mobility, built in voice mail and UMS. Yes it’s a lot of acronyms but in plain English it means that no matter what industry you’re in, or what technology you’re trying to implement, the iPECS is a genuine solution for your company. At the bottom of this page we go into more specific details about the available applications available for you.
As always, we suggest you speak to one of our expert consultants to tailor a solution to your specific needs and budget. They will also be able to explain not only how the technology works but how it can benefit your business once they have a better understanding of what you’re trying to achieve and how you operate.
Must you use VoIP for the LG Ericsson iPECS phone system?
No. The iPECS LIK pbx models are designed to integrate with all existing phone lines as well as the latest SIP (VoIP) and networking protocols. This means that you can still get all the latest technology but keep your existing phone lines. When you’re ready to move to VoIP in the future the system will be ready, willing and able.
Is the LG iPECS pbx system NBN ready?
Yes. All purpose built IP pbx systems are designed to work with the NBN and, in fact, work with the existing infrastructure anyway. NBN is quite misleading and when it comes to delivering you high quality business grade VoIP (SIP) phone calls, most businesses in metro areas can already get it right now. The NBN is only relevant for businesses with slow or unreliable data services – typically in more remote or regional areas.
Connect ANY type of LG Ericsson phone handsets to the iPECS
Unlike the small business LG Ericsson iPECS SBG-1000 phone system, the LG iPECS-LIK phone system also works with all digital and IP handsets from the 7000 and 8000 series handset ranges. However the iPECS SBG-1000 only connects with 8000 IP handsets. Here is a list of the extensive range of handsets avaiable to mix and match from:
- LG Ericsson LDP-7004 Phone (Digital- basic)

Wireless Handsets, No problems.
The LG iPCES phone system allows you to connect both IP DECT and DECT handsets (the WIT-400HE and GDC-450H). These are essentially advanced cordless phones that allow complete functionality with the iPECS and integrate seamlessly.
Plus, you can now even get a wireless desk phone with the very intelligent LWS-WK wireless handset model. It basically looks like the 8012D IP handset but there are no wires. This is a brilliant solution for areas where you have no cabling in place or where you can’t place any. Either way the DECT and wireless solutions offer your staff complete mobility and allow them to stay in touch no matter where they are. If that’s impressed you then read this next section....
Connect your mobiles phones, tablets and PC’s to the phone system.
Yes you read that correctly. LG Ericsson iPECS phone system also allows mobile workers, either in or out of the office, to connect in different ways:
- IP Communicator SIP based client for Android and AppleTM iOS smartphones. This is an easy to use application you download to your mobile phone. It then allows staff to not just connect to the office phone system but also use much of the systems functionality like a desk phone - in or out of the office. They can make, transfer and receive calls from anywhere.
- Phontage IP softphone for your laptop or PDA. This is a special program on your PC that also provides the internal or remote worker with full access to the office phone system while working from home, travelling overseas or at a local restaurant with WiFi access.
With the LG iPECS phone system technology a staff member no longer has to have an office phone, or even be in the office to connect to your staff or your customers. They can use the tools they already have (mobile phones, laptops etc) and still be an integrated and productive member of your company. This is arguably one of the best features of the latest technology on offer.
The LG iPECS phone system is a very intelligent solution encompassing the very best of the technology on offer and packaging it in a very easy to use way. It’s a good choice, even among the other leading solutions in the marketplace.
