How can VoIP transform your company?

So you’ve heard all about VoIP, and you may even use it at home. But what can it do for your business? Everything! So let’s start with the most important benefits

1. How VoIP save you a small fortune in phone calls

If you’re using traditional phone services from Telstra, Optus or anyone else, then odds are you’re simply paying too much. Infiniti has helped clients save up to 75% of their phone call charges. Check out our SIP rate sheet and stop getting ripped off today. VoIP is helping ordinary Australians save $1000s. Join them today.

2. Stop paying for expensive line rentals with VoIP!

With Telstra and traditional phone line companies you end up paying as much as $35 per line per month! That’s very expensive and it adds up fast. With some VoIP services you can reduce this to as little as $10 per line! So where 8 lines would cost $80 with SIP, 8 lines with Telstra would cost over $250!

Do I need a special phone system to get cheap calls?

No. It’s a myth. You can get Cheap VoIP calls on a 20-year old Commander phone system. The reason people buy new VoIP systems is because they offer a better way to utilise the technology, offering more features and cheaper call rates. It’s the same as buying a car designed for LPG, as opposed to trying to convert one (you get similar benefits, but it’s never quite the same).

What about VoIP call quality?

If you go for a true “business grade service” then VoIP quality is spot on. You can’t even tell you’re talking on a VoIP line. But like anything in life, if you try to do it on the cheap it will come back to bite you. So if you’ve heard bad things about VoIP, chances are it’s from people who are trying to use some dirt cheap home service and expecting perfect call quality. Business grade VoIP is brilliant. What else can VoIP do beyond slashing my phone bills?

Lots of small businesses are falling in love with VoIP for other reasons beyond saving money.

1. Work from home seamlessly and still be connected to the office

With VoIP you can work remotely, connecting back to the main phone system whether it’s next door or 2000km away. This means your staff can transfer calls to you and you can continue to work just as you do in the office (all from the comfort of your own home). Your clients don’t need to know and you’ll never miss another business opportunity again. Plus, you can get your life back improving productivity whilst removing any travel. And did we mention that any calls to and from your office are FREE!

2. Link multiple business site locations

You might have staff all over the country but with a VoIP PBX they can be part of the one phone system, as if they were all in the same office. This means everyone is available to be involved with call handling, and you don’t need multiple receptionists. Click here for more information.

3. Improve your professionalism

With all the money you save you’ll actually be able to afford a true phone system solution that offers features to improve your call handling, helping you sound larger and more professional than you may already be.

The 3 types of VoIP system

1. VoIP PBX Hybrid

This is the most popular choice and all the leading brands offer these hybrid solutions. Hybrids offer the proven reliability of your existing phone system technology, then add VoIP functionality to it.

The benefit is you are never exclusively reliant upon your data network for communication (i.e. if your internet is down for any reason, you will still be able to make phone calls and conduct business). Most clients opt for digital handsets (more reliable and cheaper) and then use VoIP phone handsets for remote users, etc. This still gives you all the benefits of VoIP, at a fraction of the cost of a VoIP-only solution. It also means that you can still use normal phone lines such as PSTN, ISDN, primary rate and SIP trunking.

2. Independently Controlled VOIP IP PBX

This option allows you to maintain the normal phone lines that are already installed in your site, and operate VOIP through your IP handsets (not digital).

You control everything from the controller, or your main telephone equipment. It works with PSTN, ISDN, primary rate or SIP trunking.

The downside to this system is that the additional costs of the IP handsets can make it a more expensive option than the VoIP hybrid above.

3. VOIP IP PBX

This is a VoIP-only phone system which connects your IP handsets via the internet back to another location.

You don’t need any main equipment (or a controller) in your office as you would with a traditional phone system, and everything is managed by the phone call supplier.

The benefit of an IP PBX is that you will only pay for virtual VoIP lines from VoIP carriers. This means you can eliminate your PSTN & ISDN phone line rentals and save a great deal of money!

The downside is that because there are no normal phone lines and you don’t control your own phone system, if your internet goes down then – technically - so does your phone system.
