Alcatel 4019 Phone Handset (basic phone)

Although the Alcatel 4019 phone is the basic phone in the range it offers incredible bang for buck. They are not designed for everyday users but for staff that only use the phone rarely, kitchens, foyers, retail showrooms and the like. You still get everything a staff member needs to use the phone and it is far more than just a basic phone in many ways. Compared to the Alcatel 4029 phone the features you lose are:

• No hands free speaker phone (there is a speaker but it is only one-way for paging)
• One line display versus the larger screens
• No headset port
• No QWERTY keyboard

What you do get is an incredibly affordable phone that still allows you to access voicemail, system speed dials, bi directional navigator to scroll and 6 feature keys with LED lights! This allows you to see at a glance what 6 staff and/or phone lines are doing at any given point. This is one of customer's biggest drawbacks on the Alcatel 4029 and Alcatel 4039 phone models and it is ironic that the cheapest handset in the line-up offers this more traditional handset style that many customers are used to.

The Alcatel 4019 phone handset is compact, reliable, inexpensive and looks great. To upgrade to the Alcatel 4029 phone is about $100 (RRP) more, however depending on your requirements and budget it can be money well spent. Some small business owners opt for all Alcatel 4019 phones to keep costs down, whereas the majority usually implement a combination of Alcatel 4019 and Alcatel 4029 phones.

When you are implementing an Alcatel Omni PCX phone system you MUST also have at least one Alcatel 4008 and Alcatel 4018 phone. The three handsets are visually indistinguishable from each other and the only difference is the internal 10/100MB network switch to facilitate IP connectivity. The only difference between the Alcatel 4008 and 4018 is that the 4018 allows you to connect your PC to it also if you only have one Ethernet point at the desk. IP handsets always cost more initially but in the right context and company the ROI can be much higher.
